The symposium will run over two days combining high-level sessions, technical panels, announcements/celebrations and networking opportunities. To catalyse coordination, implementation and investment in Kenya’s Green Hydrogen ecosystem by showcasing concrete progress, facilitating partnerships, and demonstrating strong government leadership and commitment.
The specific objectives are as follows:
- Demonstrate Government Leadership and Commitment: Highlight Kenya’s policy direction, institutional ownership, and long-term commitment through high-level participation, strategic announcements, and MoUs.
- Showcase Progress and Build Investor Confidence: Present on-the-ground project developments, best practices, and success stories to demonstrate Kenya’s readiness and attract new investments into the GH2 sector.
- Facilitate Matchmaking & Partnerships: Enable targeted matchmaking and create concrete connections between project developers, financiers, offtakers, and technology providers to accelerate GH2 project implementation Strengthen Knowledge, Skills, and Inclusion: Strategize on building national and institutional capacity through masterclasses and thematic sessions while promoting meaningful participation of youth, women, and civil society in the GH2 transition
